Privacy

These apps are made by Createful Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. For anything in this policy, write to support at occasionplans.com.

Everything you enter is stored in a database on your device: plans, guests, seating, budgets, suppliers, schedules, to-dos, scrapbooks, colour palettes and thank-yous.

If you have an active subscription, that database also syncs to your other devices using CloudKit, Apple's iCloud service. It goes into the private database of your own iCloud account, under your Apple ID. We do not host it, cannot read it, and cannot recover it for you. Apple's handling of that data is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Without a subscription, nothing syncs and nothing leaves your device at all.

Nothing. There is no account to create, no sign-up, no email address collected, and no profile. The apps contain no analytics, crash reporting, advertising identifiers, or any third-party SDK that would send us data. No part of what you type reaches a server we control. This is about the apps; for what happens on this website, see cookies and analytics below.

Contacts

Only if you choose to add a guest from your address book. The app reads the contacts you pick, copies the details onto that guest, and does nothing else with your address book. Nothing is uploaded to us.

Photos

Pictures you add to a scrapbook, or use to pull a colour palette from, are chosen through Apple's own photo picker. The app receives only the images you select, and is never given access to your whole library.

Microphone

Only while you are recording a voice memo onto a scrapbook. Recordings are saved into your plan like any other item, and are never sent to us.

Notifications

Used for reminders you set yourself. They are scheduled on your device by the app; we do not send push notifications and have no way to message you.

Every one of these is optional. Decline any of them and the rest of the app works normally.

Subscriptions and one-off purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, payment card, or billing address. The app asks Apple whether the device has a valid entitlement and gets back yes or no. That is the whole of what we learn about your purchase.

One subscription covers both apps. To make that work, a record of the entitlement is stored in your device's keychain in a group both apps can read. It stays on your device and in your own iCloud keychain.

When you export a PDF or a spreadsheet, or share a seating plan or guest list, the file goes wherever you send it using the standard iOS share sheet. That is your choice and your copy. It does not pass through us.

These apps are not directed at children and collect nothing from anyone.

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to show you, correct, or delete. You remain in control of everything:

• Delete a plan in the app to remove it and everything in it.
• Delete the app to remove its local database from that device.
• Remove synced data in Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Account Storage, where the app's iCloud data can be deleted from your account.

Under UK GDPR you have rights over personal data held about you. If you believe we hold any, write to support at occasionplans.com and we will answer. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

This page is about occasionplans.com, not the apps. The apps are unaffected by anything in this section.

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read, so we know whether the site is doing its job. It is off until you accept it. If you decline, or simply never answer, nothing is requested from Google, no script is loaded, and no analytics cookie is set. There is no silent fallback that measures you anyway.

If you do accept, Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga and _ga_… in your browser, which last up to two years, and records the pages you visit, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device and browser you used. Google is the data processor for this and may store it outside the UK. We have turned off every advertising feature: the data is not used to build an advertising profile of you, is not shared for advertising, and we sell nothing to anybody.

Two other things are stored in your browser and sent nowhere: your appearance preference, if you set one, and a record of the choice you made here so we stop asking. We will ask again after a year.

You can change your mind at any time, and it takes effect immediately.

Choose

Declining here does not depend on us keeping our word. You can also block cookies in your browser, or turn on Do Not Track or an ad blocker, and the site will work exactly the same.

The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes standard server request logs on our behalf. Web fonts are served by Google Fonts, which means your browser requests a font file from Google on every page whether or not you accept analytics; that request carries your IP address and nothing else, and sets no cookie.

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it and the current version always lives at this address.
